Nice looking boot. The color is indeed accurately coyote. Amazingly lightweight. Weight is comparable to sturdy cross-training shoes. True to size if you order same size you wear in sneakers. Length is good, no chance of hammer toes. Width is average to snug, so if you have wide feet then you’ll definitely need to order in wide. The throat of the boot is flexible but not floppy and you can get decent support if you lace tight. The back of the boot is isn’t aggressively curved inward like Salomon boots so there’s not as much pressure on your achilles tendon. The insole has average arches, not annoyingly high or flat either, and overall feels good. Shock absorption of the sole is excellent. People are right that you can really run in these. Some reviewer elsewhere complained of severe pain on both sides of the ankles with these boots… if that happens, it’s because the tongue is folded down too far on both sides, which can be remedied by scrunching the tongue up a little around the ankle area before lacing them up. The scrunching adds more padding to the front of the ankle anyway and I suspect that’s how it’s meant to be worn. As far as break in, none was required. Comfortable out of the box and I would imagine will get even more comfortable within a week or two. Be sure to read the care instructions that come with it for maximum leather longevity.

The material and build of this boot is of very good quality. They are light, but not as light as dedicated running shoes. The part that sits on top of the toes is also not as flexible as running shoes, but I suppose their relative stiffness is designed and made to be more protective than running shoes. The boots provide decent ankle support, too.

Where these boots shine is in their soles. Their design, including the more rounded heel, is made more for athletic movement, making it easier to run, jog and jump compared to regular boots tha tend to have more squarish, pronounced, weight bearing heel. Granted, they’re not as easy to run and jump in as dedicated running shoes, and their sole and design isn’t made for heavier weight support as standard boots, but despite those compromises, it’s still a decent boot.

My only complaint is that they are not true to size, or at least the regular width sized-12 boots aren’t. Mine were a bit too small and narrow, which I found odd considering I don’t have wide feet and have never needed to order a size wide. My toes felt slightly pinched from the front, the top and the sides, almost as if I were wearing slightly small pointy shoes, but these boots are not pointy at all. So I’m not sure why they felt that way. I’m hoping that a 12.5 Wide will be better.

Aside from the sizing issue, they’re a good boot.

Awesome is all I can say about these boots. They are the most comfortable boots I have ever worn. I have super high arches so I am very picky about my footwear with that said Extreme knocked it out of the park on these boots. Thanks Extreme staff. B. Ellington

Great design. The same style boot as the T8 only with a more athletic sole. I’m recovering from back surgery and have several lower extremity injuries so my body is very picky when it comes to footwear and I have gone through so many pairs of boots trying to find the right ones that would not cause me pain. As soon as I put these on it was pure comfort. I can’t wait to test these out the further I progress in my recovery. Thank you for have this product and Thank Steve for me for his design.

I received these boots today in the mail, and immediately wanted to try them out. They are super comfortable, almost like I had on a pair of tennis shoes. I decided to go rucking, and what started as a 3 mile ruck turned into 6 miles. I couldn’t ask for a better product!
