Extreme Outfitters is an archery and bowhunting retailer serving customers nationwide through ExtremeOutfitters.com and from our full-service pro shop in Jacksonville, North Carolina. We specialize in custom arrows, compound bows, sights, rests, releases, broadheads and bowhunting equipment backed by experienced bow techs who work with this equipment every day.
From Our Roots to a National Archery Retailer
Extreme Outfitters opened in Jacksonville, North Carolina in 2001, just outside the gates of Camp Lejeune. The company began as a hybrid outdoor and tactical retailer serving the military community and outdoor enthusiasts of Eastern North Carolina.
When Zakk Plocica and his family took ownership in 2014, the business began an evolution that would increasingly put archery at the center of Extreme Outfitters.
What started as one part of the business grew into our specialty. Today, Extreme Outfitters serves archers and bowhunters across the country through our online store while operating a full-service archery pro shop and 30-yard indoor range in Jacksonville.
Our roots are still an important part of who we are. But today, our focus is clear: help archers and bowhunters choose better equipment, build better setups and make more informed decisions whether they walk through our front door or shop with us from across the country.

Zakk Plocica and his family took ownership of Extreme Outfitters in 2014 with a long-term vision for what the company could become.
As an archer, bowhunter and owner who still spends time working with equipment in the shop, Zakk has helped build Extreme Outfitters around a simple idea: customers deserve more than a product on a shelf. They deserve knowledgeable guidance from people who understand how the equipment actually works.
That philosophy now extends beyond the Jacksonville pro shop. Through ExtremeOutfitters.com, educational content, gear testing and The Archery Project, Zakk and the EO team are working to bring the experience of a knowledgeable archery pro shop to customers anywhere in the country.
