PSE Sicario Bow Review: PSE’s Fastest Carbon Bow Yet
For 2026, PSE Archery has unleashed a new force in speed and innovation — the PSE Sicario. In this PSE Sicario Bow Review, we’re breaking down everything you need to know about this blazing-fast carbon compound bow: specs, performance, draw cycle feel, and our live chronograph test results.
Overview: The 2026 PSE Sicario Carbon Speed Bow
The new PSE Sicario is built on a 33-inch carbon platform and designed to deliver pure performance. With speeds up to 357 feet per second, it’s one of the fastest bows PSE has ever produced — a true speed bow for hunters who want maximum energy without sacrificing shootability.
Key specs include:
- Axle-to-Axle: 33”
- Brace Height: 5.25”
- Speed: Up to 357 FPS
- Draw Length Range: 24.5”–30”
- Let-Off Options: 70%, 75%, 80%, 85%
- Cam System: New FDS (Force Distribution System) Cam
- Weight: Lightweight carbon riser construction
- Tuning System: Easy 220 Shim
This bow represents PSE’s next evolution in efficiency, stability, and forgiveness — even for a short-brace, high-speed platform.
FDS Cam System and Draw Cycle Improvements

The most significant upgrade to the carbon line and included on the Sicario is the all-new FDS Cam System (Force Distribution System). This cam design enhances speed while maintaining a smooth, stable draw cycle.
The older EC2 cams were fantastic and honestly one of my favorite cams ever, however, the FDS cams roll over earlier and eliminate the harsh “stack” many shooters associate with speed bows. The draw cycle is buttery smooth and transitions into a solid, forgiving back wall.
You’ll also find four adjustable let-off options (70%, 75%, 80%, and 85%), allowing archers to fine-tune holding weight for their preferred feel. Combined with the improved draw stop system, the Sicario delivers one of the most consistent back walls we’ve felt from PSE.
Full Draw Stability and Dynamic Brace Height
One of PSE’s biggest breakthroughs continues with the Full Draw Stability (FDS) System — and the Sicario refines it even further.
By recessing the post on the new FDS cam where the cable attaches and increasing the bearing size of the cams, PSE has balanced the load on both sides of the axle, reducing cam lean and hand torque. The result? Zero riser twist at full draw.
Even with a short 5.25” brace height, the Sicario aims rock solid and feels incredibly stable. PSE also introduces the concept of dynamic brace height — the idea that brace height effectively increases at full draw, improving forgiveness without compromising speed.
PSE Sicario Speed Test Results
During our in-house test at Extreme Outfitters, we ran two configurations to measure real-world speed performance:
- Setup: 70 lbs draw weight, 85% let-off
- Arrow: 443 grains Easton Axis 4mm
28.5” Draw Length: Average of 295.1 FPS
30” Draw Length: Average of 313.6 FPS
For a carbon bow with a short brace height, that’s impressive velocity — especially considering how smooth the draw cycle feels. The Sicario delivers raw speed with no harsh dump into the back wall, and minimal vibration after the shot.
Grip, Feel, and Overall Shootability
Despite being PSE’s speed bow, the Sicario doesn’t punish you with an aggressive draw. The carbon grip feels natural and repeatable, promoting consistency on every shot.
The back wall is firm yet forgiving, and letting down feels controlled — not jumpy. You can feel a touch of feedback, as expected from such a fast bow, but it’s nothing uncomfortable. Overall, it’s an extremely shootable speed bow that blends performance with comfort.
Who the PSE Sicario Is For

If you’re a bowhunter or target archer chasing maximum speed and lightweight performance, the Sicario is right up your alley. It’s ideal for:
- Hunters with shorter draw lengths looking to gain speed
- Shooters who prefer a snappy, responsive feel
- Archers who want a high-end carbon platform with tuning flexibility
It’s also worth noting that vane clearance can get tight due to the short brace height — something to consider when choosing fletch length or rest setup.
Final Thoughts: PSE Sicario Bow Review Verdict
After extensive testing, it’s safe to say that the PSE Sicario is one of the most complete speed bows we’ve ever shot. It blends raw power, refined balance, and PSE’s best-ever cam design into one lightweight carbon package.
If you’re ready for a bow that hits fast, draws smooth, and holds steady — the Sicario delivers.
