This is the type of arrow we look at when durability is a higher priority than squeezing every possible foot per second out of the setup. The RIP TKO still keeps GPI practical, but it is not trying to be an ultralight 5mm shaft.
That makes it a very good fit for whitetail, elk, and general big-game hunting setups where we want a substantial finished arrow, a strong stainless front component, and a shaft we have confidence in taking into the field.
It is also a good choice for shooters who want the RIP TKO platform but prefer Victory’s tighter Elite ±.001" straightness specification rather than the less expensive Gamer grade.

Our Take on the Victory RIP TKO Elite
The RIP TKO is one of the Victory shafts we look at when durability is near the top of the priority list.
It is still a relatively efficient 5mm-class hunting arrow, but compared with lighter Victory platforms like the HLR, the RIP TKO gives us more confidence when the finished arrow is going to see hard hunting use. That is the tradeoff: you give up some of the extreme low-GPI advantage in exchange for a more substantial shaft platform.
The 50-grain stainless SHOK™ component is also a good match for what this arrow is trying to accomplish. You start with a durable external front-end sleeve and meaningful component weight without immediately having to replace the stock system to build a legitimate hunting arrow.
We also like Victory’s factory spine alignment and weight matching. Those features are not a substitute for tuning the bow, but they give us a consistent starting point when building a set of arrows for a customer.
The ICE coating is another feature that is easy to overlook until you spend time shooting it. Arrow removal from dense foam is noticeably easier, which is valuable for anyone who shoots a lot of 3D or practices year-round.
The biggest question for most customers is not whether the RIP TKO is a good arrow — it is whether they need the Elite grade. The Elite and Gamer use the same basic RIP TKO platform, component system, coating, and spine-aligned construction. The primary difference is straightness tolerance.
