Shrewd Quick Disconnect Straight (0°)
Swapping a stabilizer used to mean digging out a wrench, fighting threads, and wasting time you don't have at the range or in the field. The Shrewd Archery Quick Disconnect (Straight / 0°) fixes that. Machined from 6061 aluminum with a durable anodized finish and a 1" outside diameter designed for a flush fit with all Shrewd compound stabilizers, this disconnect lets you remove and reinstall your front stabilizer in seconds — without tools. Simple, solid, and made in the USA.
Key Features of the Shrewd Quick Disconnect Straight (0°)
CNC Machined 6061 Aluminum
The Shrewd Quick Disconnect is machined from 6061 aluminum — the same alloy used in aerospace and precision equipment manufacturing. It's strong, lightweight, and resistant to the corrosion, impacts, and temperature changes that come with year-round archery use. This is not a plastic or zinc-cast disconnect. It's built to the same standard as the stabilizers it connects.
Durable Anodized Finish
All standard color options feature a hardened anodized finish that seals and protects the aluminum. Flint, Terra, and Timber colorways use an ultra-durable Cerakote finish for a look that holds up in the field and matches popular Mathews bow finishes directly.
1" Outside Diameter — Flush Fit with All Shrewd Stabilizers
The 1" OD is specifically designed to sit flush with Shrewd compound stabilizers. No ugly gaps, no adapters, no mismatched hardware. If you're running a Shrewd stabilizer, this disconnect was made for it.
Straight 0° Angle
The straight configuration mounts your stabilizer in a direct, parallel orientation to the bow riser — the standard setup for most compound bow configurations. If you need angled offset for a V-bar or specialized front stabilizer setup, Shrewd also offers the same disconnect in 8° and 20° angles.
Includes Matching Hardware
Every Shrewd Quick Disconnect ships complete and ready to install. No sourcing extra hardware — everything you need is in the box.
Made in the USA
Designed and machined in the United States. Shrewd builds their hardware domestically, and it shows in the fit, finish, and durability.
Who the Shrewd Quick Disconnect Is Built For
Any archer or bowhunter who removes and reinstalls their front stabilizer regularly will benefit from this disconnect. It's especially practical for:
- Bowhunters who remove their stabilizer for transport or to reduce bulk while walking to the stand
- Target archers who swap stabilizers between different bows or setups
- Anyone running a Shrewd stabilizer who wants a clean, matching connection point
- Hunters and shooters who want tool-free stabilizer removal without sacrificing connection rigidity

Why Extreme Outfitters Recommends the Shrewd Quick Disconnect
This is one of those accessories that pays for itself the first time you use it. Once you've run a quick disconnect, going back to threading and unthreading your stabilizer by hand every time feels like a step backward. The Shrewd version is particularly well done — the machining is clean, the fit with Shrewd stabilizers is exact, and the anodized finish holds up.
If you're running a Shrewd stabilizer of any kind, this is the obvious companion piece. And if you're a bowhunter who removes your stabilizer regularly for transport or treestand access, it's not optional — it's something you'll wonder how you hunted without.
Frequently Asked Questions — Shrewd Quick Disconnect (Straight)
What's the difference between the 0°, 8°, and 20° options?
The angle determines the offset between the bow's stabilizer bushing and the stabilizer itself. The 0° (straight) mounts the stabilizer directly inline — this is the standard configuration for most setups. The 8° creates a slight downward angle, often used to counteract torque or fine-tune balance. The 20° is a more extreme angle typically used in specialized target setups. For most hunting and general compound setups, the 0° is the right starting point.
Will the Shrewd Quick Disconnect fit my bow?
The Shrewd Quick Disconnect uses a standard 5/16"-24 x 3/4" socket head cap screw and installs in the bow's front stabilizer bushing. This is the standard stabilizer thread used on virtually all compound bows, so it will fit the vast majority of bows on the market.
Will this disconnect work with non-Shrewd stabilizers?
Yes. The 1" outside diameter fits Shrewd stabilizers flush, but the 5/16"-24 thread system is compatible with any stabilizer using the same threading. It will work with most stabilizers on the market.
Do all color options cost the same?
No. Matte Black and Gloss Black are available at a lower price point. All other colors — including the Cerakote finishes (Flint, Terra, Timber) and the anodized accent colors — are priced higher. The 20° angle is only available in Gloss Black.
What hardware is included?
Every Shrewd Quick Disconnect includes a matching barrel nut and a 5/16"-24 x 3/4" socket head cap screw. Everything needed to install it is in the box.
Is the Quick Disconnect compatible with Shrewd V-bars?
Yes. The Shrewd Quick Disconnect works with Shrewd's stabilizer lineup and is designed to pair with their V-bars and other mounting systems that use the standard thread pitch.
Sizing & Compatibility
The Shrewd Quick Disconnect (Straight / 0°) is available in all colors listed above. Color options for angled variants (8° and 20°) vary — the 20° is only available in Gloss Black. If you need an angled option, see the Shrewd Quick Disconnect 8° listed separately.
Thread: 5/16"-24 (standard compound bow thread). Outside diameter: 1". Compatible with all Shrewd compound stabilizers and most stabilizers from other manufacturers.
