Introducing the NEW 2025 PSE Decree Compound Bow: Unmatched Precision and Performance

New bows are always an exciting topic, and today we’re thrilled to introduce PSE’s latest aluminum bow—the 2025 PSE Decree. Joining the current lineup that includes the Evolve 30 and Evolve 33, the Decree promises to deliver the same exceptional performance, with new features that set it apart. In this article, we’ll break down its specs and features, share our first impressions, and test its performance across different draw lengths and arrow weights. Let’s dive in.
Overview of the 2025 PSE Decree
PSE’s aluminum lineup, featuring the Evolve 30 and Evolve 33, has been consistently impressive. Having personally shot the Evolve 33, I was impressed by its performance at long distances, despite its slightly heavier riser. It provided a stable platform, making it perfect for events like the Total Archery Challenge. Now, with the introduction of the 2025 PSE Decree, archers have another option in terms of axle-to-axle (ATA) lengths, offering a versatile bow that caters to different hunting styles and draw lengths.
Features of the 2025 PSE Decree
The Decree boasts a range of features that have made PSE bows popular among hunters and archers. Here’s what you can expect from this latest model:
EZ 220 Shim System
One of our favorite features at Extreme Outfitters. This system makes bow tuning incredibly easy by allowing quick cam adjustments without the need to remove axles or cams. It’s a game-changer for making precise adjustments .
Integrated Rest Option
Keeping the rest mounted in line with the bows riser improves balance at full draw, making this a must-have feature. It’s now standard in many flagship models, and the Decree is no exception.
Picatinny Mounted Sight
This versatile feature lets you run a Picatinny-mounted sight, centering it with the riser for optimal stability, or you can opt for a side-mounted sight. The choice is yours.
Sleek, Thin Grip
The Decree’s grip is one of the most comfortable and ergonomic grips we’ve seen. It’s slim, fits perfectly in the hand, and makes achieving a repeatable, consistent grip much easier—key for accuracy.
EC2 Cam System
One of my personal favorites. The EC2 cam offers a smooth and efficient draw cycle, whether you’re shooting at 80% or 90% let-off. With rotating mods, adjusting the draw length is simple. This cam enjoyable to shoot, even at heavier draw weights.
Full Draw Stability
A standout feature that improves accuracy by increasing the effective brace height, reducing hand torque, and creating a more stable shooting experience.
Limb Vise Pocket System
This system improves overall stability by ensuring the pocket stays centered over the riser, regardless of limb bolt position. It’s an improvement that archers will appreciate for consistent accuracy.
All these features work in harmony to provide a seamless shooting experience, giving archers a platform that feels solid, accurate, and forgiving.
Speed Testing: Performance Across Draw Lengths and Arrow Weights
At a draw weight of 70lbs, 26″ draw length at 90 percent let off with a 400 gr arrow the 2025 PSE Decree had a consistent speed of 268.6 FPS and with a 500gr arrow we clocked it at 240.9FPS.
After shooting it at 26″ we increased the draw length another two inch’s for those longer draw length shooters to 28″ at the same 70lbs 90 percent let off. With the 400 gr arrow we got 299.3FPS and with the 500gr arrow we got 258.8FPS.
Finally we test the Decree at 30″ of draw length. With the 400gr arrow we got a whooping 319FPS and with the 500gr arrow we got 281.4FPS.
As you can see, the 2025 PSE Decree holds its own in terms of speed, even at shorter draw lengths. The bow delivers impressive results, making it suitable for a wide variety of hunting scenarios. We were very impressed with how solid the back wall of the bow was and how smooth the draw cycle was considering the impressive speeds the bow produced.
Our Initial Impressions of the 2025 PSE Decree
The 2025 PSE Decree is everything we’ve come to expect from PSE and more. It offers a smooth draw cycle, little to no hand shock, and provides a stable platform for both tree stand and spot-and-stalk hunters. The 31.5” ATA hits that sweet spot, offering enough stability for long shots while remaining compact enough for maneuverability in tighter spaces like blinds or dense woods.
With its EC2 cam, EZ 220 shim system, and other premium features, this bow is sure to become a favorite among hunters and archers alike. Personally, I’ve always found that bows in the 30-32” ATA range are ideal for my 28.5” draw length, and the Decree fits right into that sweet spot.
